Adriana Yepez
Co-Founder

Adriana is a fraud prevention and risk strategy leader with 18 years of experience in high-volume lending environments across Canada and the U.S. She specializes in designing scalable workflows that improve how organizations process applications, particularly within fraud review and exception-based decisioning.

Her expertise spans fraud risk management, manual review optimization, and analytics-driven decision design. She has led initiatives to streamline review queues, build risk-based prioritization models, and strengthen identity fraud detection, including impersonation and synthetic identity risks.

With a background that includes software and network systems, Adriana bridges business, analytics, and technical teams, translating complex requirements into practical, scalable solutions that support both risk control and business growth.

Gabriela Yepez
Co-Founder

Gabriela is a leader with over 15 years of experience across the public sector, built on a consistent focus: finding, developing, and retaining the people who make organizations thrive.

Throughout her career, she has recruited and built high-performing teams, led through complex organizational change, and championed the coaching and mentorship that keeps strong talent engaged.

Gabriela has a proven track record of improving retention, developing emerging leaders, and aligning the right people with the right roles. These are the same principles that drive A&G's executive search and leadership coaching practice.

A Certified Health Executive and Registered Social Worker, Gabriela is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Social Sciences, further deepening her commitment to organizational excellence.

About the Role

Our client, a growing FinTech organization based in Toronto, is seeking a Senior Director of Finance to join their executive leadership team. This is a high-impact opportunity for a strategic finance leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is ready to drive financial performance, shape business strategy, and lead a high-performing finance function.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Senior Director of Finance will oversee financial planning and analysis, reporting, compliance, and operational finance, while serving as a key business partner to senior stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports to the executive team and board
  • Partner with business unit leaders to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities
  • Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and growth
  • Support M&A activities, due diligence, and integration planning as required

Qualifications

  • CPA designation required (CFA or MBA considered an asset)
  • 10 or more years of progressive finance experience, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven experience in FinTech, financial services, or a regulated industry is strongly preferred
  • Strong command of financial modeling, FP&A, and management reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, Adaptive)
